NHS Entitlements

  • NHS Sight Tests are available if you
    • Are under 16, 16-18 in full time education or over 60
    • Have diabetes or glaucoma
    • Have a parent/sibling/child with glaucoma and you are over 40
    • Receive income support, income based Job Seekers Allowance, Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
    • Have a HC2, HC3 or a NHS tax credit exemption certificate
    • Have been prescribed ‘complex lenses’
    • Are registered sight impaired (SI) or severely sight impaired (SSI)
  • NHS Spectacle Vouchers
    • available for some of the above groups including children and those receiving low income benefits – please ask for further information

  • Additional diagnostic tests may be recommended for NHS patients attending for a sight test if required
    • Retinal Photography  £ 35
    • Visual Fields exam/analysis £ 40
    • OCT Retinal Imaging/analysis £ 40

  • Contact lens fees
    • New evaluation and fitting (includes trial lenses/ teach / 2 month follow up) from £ 80 *

    • Contact lens check up and general eye-sight test  £70

  • Contact Lens aftercare scheme – £96 per year or £8 direct debit per month
